Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use as few as possible, sort them into categories, and only set anything beyond the strictly necessary ones with your agreement.
Necessary (always on)
- Session and security — keep you signed in and protect forms against cross-site request forgery.
- Your basket — remembers what you have added so it is still there when you come back.
- Display currency — remembers the currency you chose to view prices in.
These do not require consent and cannot be turned off through the site.
Preferences, Statistics and Marketing (only with your consent)
Use the panel below, or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, to choose which of these you allow:
- Preferences — not currently used on this site, reserved for future features such as remembering a display setting.
- Statistics — Google Analytics, so we can understand how the site is used. Never used for advertising, and never loaded on the payment page.
- Marketing — lets embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos, and the Google map on our Find Us page, load, and lets us measure whether our adverts on ChatGPT are working. Until you agree, videos and the map show a button (“Load video” or “Show map”) instead of loading, and no advertising measurement runs.
How we record your choice
We store your choice in a cookie_consent cookie for six months, so you are not asked on every visit, and we keep a record of each choice made (the categories agreed to, when, and the policy version), so we can demonstrate compliance if ever asked. You can change your mind at any time below.
Third parties
Our payment page is provided by Stripe, which sets its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. See stripe.com/privacy. Google Analytics is provided by Google; see policies.google.com/privacy. YouTube and Vimeo, where you choose to load an embedded video, are provided by Google and Vimeo respectively, and the map on our Find Us page by Google Maps. Advertising measurement on ChatGPT is provided by OpenAI, whose pixel sets two cookies, __oppref (30 days) and __obref (one year); see openai.com/policies/privacy-policy. Google Tag Manager, which we use to manage these tags, sets no cookies of its own and follows your choices.
Controlling cookies
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but the shop may not work properly if you block the strictly necessary ones above.
